Buick Avista concept car makes stunning debut
Journalists at the 2016 North American International Auto Show were abuzz this week regarding the new concept design from a familiar manufacturer that has struggled to shake off the nostalgia left in peoples mind from the late 80’s and early 90’s. Yes, we are talking about Buick.
This past week Buick took standing ovations and honors for its concept car, the Buick Avista.
Sophisticated curves and a bold face, the Avista gave consumers a glimpse into the future and what the modern day coupe may look like. A bold face with sophisticated lines and curves, this coupe left nothing to the imagination. Built on the same platform as GM’s legendary Camaro, this coupe delivers 400 horsepower, made possible by a twin turbo V6 engine. Although I am hard pressed to believe it would be needed, it is almost certain that Buick would also offer a bigger performance V8, perhaps even choosing to use the Magnetic Ride suspension it currently offers in its Yukon and Tahoe to up the ante even further.
Although the interior was not mentioned, we can only assume that GM will give Buick all the same brilliant technology that it has invested in and put inside many of the Cadillac, Chevrolet lineup and GMC lineup. Bluetooth to Navigation, Voice Command to Media Streaming, General Motors has take the bold step and become an industry leader in integrating cutting edge technology into its vehicles.
As for when the new Buick Avista will be available at Davis Chevrolet GMC Buick in Claresholm is unknown but we can’t wait for the day we have one on our lot.
